The First Wave
Pandemonium gripped everywhere as the explosions continued above. The younger Mugulubu who had just joined the army and were undergoing training with Tile were absolutely lost. It seemed the thunderous explosions had come a moment too soon. Unexpected even. All the orders Boju had given seemed to have been forgotten momentarily. It was a while before everyone began to recover and fall to formation. They began to file up in the usual lazy straight line. With this arrangement, Tile quickly confirmed his fears. If these guys were going to stick to the training he had seen them do, then they were all for dead. From the explosions he was hearing from above, Tile knew without having met the enemy that they had superior power, menacing strategy and absolute precision.
