Darkness swallowed the house.Elena’s breath caught as everything went silent,then Alarms loud piercing
“What’s happening?” she whispered.Alexander didn’t answer immediately. His grip on her hand tightened.
“Stay close.”Another crash echoed—closer this time.Glass shattering voices shouting.
“They’re inside!”Elena’s heart slammed against her chest.
“Who are they?” she demanded .. Not now.”
He pulled her forward, moving quickly through the dark hallway. Emergency lights flickered on, casting everything in red.
Danger a loud bang shook the walls.Elena flinched, instinctively moving closer to him.
“Alexander—”A gunshot rang out she froze.
He turned instantly, pulling her behind him, shielding her with his body.
“Keep moving,” he said sharply.They reached a back exit, but just as he pushed the door open
Two men stepped out of the shadows blocking their way.Elena’s breath hitched one of them smirked.
“Mr. Wolfe,” he said. “You should have stayed in your office.”Alexander’s voice dropped, cold and lethal.
“You’re making a mistake.The man laughed.
“No… you did…Everything happened fast.Alexander moved first a sharp strike.
Elena stumbled back as the fight broke out in front of her,
Then A second gunshot her heart stopped.
Alexander froze for a second and Elena saw it.
Blood.
