Nicky’s POV
I decided to go to Wild Wind and check on Jordan. Something seemed odd and my mind wouldn’t rest. I left really early in the morning before my family would notice I borrowed the car. I drove most of the way there and then parked the car about 5 miles away. I shifted and planned to run the rest of the way in wolf form.
I was running through the woods when I caught wind a horrible odor. It was enough to make me slow down for a second. I trotted along being extra aware of my surroundings. I heard a growl from behind me. I knew better than to turn around and look. I kept facing forward. Then a large black wolf walked in front of me. He was what was reeked. He looked like someone dumped hot grease on him and smelled like it too.
