Everything started to change the moment Draco kissed me. What happened after that kiss? Well, we sort of fell silent, awkwardly, for a while, before I slapped him on his left cheek that left him froze, rubbing that reddening cheek, looking downward as if he were remorseful of what he had done. My lips were shaky, fingers trembling, eyes giving bloodshot glare to his silvery eyes.
He stroke his hair backwards, trying to look at me in the eyes, "Forgive me, Y/n", he said. The look of regret was still on his face and didn't seem to go anywhere anytime soon.
"I...I just can't help it", he added.
"What the f**k, Malfoy?" I said half whispering from the effect of choking back my tears and preventing him from hearing my cracked voice.
"I didn't mean to. I got carried away. I.. I've gone mad for you!" he shouted a little.
I was in awe. It struck me like a thundering storm in November. I was at loss for words.
"You what??? What's wrong with you, Malfoy?!" Then it was my turn to go ballistic and I unconsciously punched my fist to a wall next to us. It did hurt a lot. Blood trickled down from my knuckles.
Draco's pupils widened and he grabbed my bloody hand, "Are you mad?!" He untied his green and silver tie and rolled it around my hand to stop the blood.
I harshly took it off and hurled it to his chest moments later after I came to my senses to realize that it was not right.
"This is wrong...Malfoy. Slytherins don't date Hufflepuffs. We came from completely different backgrounds. I don't want you to ruin my head, and feelings. You also could be lying. Besides, I hate you." I explained and turned my back on him again.
"Y/n, please! Stay a minute and let me make it clear to you."
"What again?"
"I know that I have a reputation to uphold. We Slytherins laugh at Huflepuffs. Yet they're the ones who are the most loyal beings just as we are. I find that very nice. But yeah, you're probably right. We came from different backgrounds, but let me tell you one thing. I am not trying to mess with your head, and I am not trying to mess with your feelings. Remember that. Now that you mentioned it, you have to be ready for a living hell, traitor!
He glared at me for what seemed like an eternity, and turned around to leave me.
"Yeah?! See what I'm talking about, Malfoy? You will never change! You're a Malfoy! You stay away from me!"
He turned to me for a second and I watched his eyes a bit watery and red. I felt goosebumps all over me. I was disappointed that he admitted our differences though I tried to sink in every single word came out of his soft rosy lips, so I stood quite a while until I got back from the trance. I didn't want to absorb anything from him because I just didn't want to get my hopes up to be smashed to the ground with a snap of fingers. I didn't even realize that I was tearing up.
I started heading out to my common room because I wasn't hungry anymore. I just needed a time alone after that weird encounter with Malfoy.
Halfway through, a group of people approached me. They're Potter, Granger, and Weasley. Unlucky enough, I had a trace of tears on my face and my eyes were still red. I wiped it and tried to smile at them.
"Y/n, what's wrong?" Harry asked eagerly as if he cared a lot. Hermione stood by me and stroke my arm.
"No, nothing. I got dirt in my eyes haha", I giggled.
"No you didn't, Y/n, you got mascara stains on your under eyes," added Hermione.
"What..really? Ugh, fine. It's just Malfoy. You know how cruel he could get. We had a fight, that's all. Nothing much. I was being sensitive," I smiled.
"That bastard," Harry growled under his breath.
"What is it, Harry?" I asked.
"Oh, nothing. Malfoy IS a bastard," he said.
"He is since first year in case you forgot what he did to Neville," Ron added.
We laughed a little, and I decided to go back to my dorm.
Harry tugged my sleeve and said awkwardly, "Y/n, just tell me, I mean, us, if you have any trouble."
"Yeah, Harry, thanks," I smiled for he looked so worried.
Soon after they left I got myself back to the common room door and said the password 'Badgerpuff'. The door swung open and the room was empty. I said inwardly 'ugh, everybody must've been digging out their dinner by now. I hate that Malfoy bloke, big time.'
But instead of an actual hate, I began to feel something else for him. I wanted to meet him again. I wanted to have a fight with him again. I longed to see him stare at me with his brooding look he got.
I shook my head to fade the images away as my stomach gurgled. Merlin's beard, no matter how pissed off I was, it couldn't stop me from being hungry.
Just as I thought about heading back to Great Hall again, someone knocked on the door. Not a Hufflepuff I bet. I walked to open door.
