Chapter 13
“Home sweet home,” Vance mumbled loudly as he got out from the car.
It was nearly seven in the evening on New Year’s Eve. Vance and Talon had come straight from the office to the bed and breakfast right after work the previous evening. Unlike Christmas Day when there had been exactly one guest at the bed and breakfast, there was nobody else there now, except for Brett, Vance, and Talon, with Brett’s parents who had been staying in the house since Christmas Eve. Talon’s parents and siblings, along with their respective partners, had also paid them a surprise visit earlier that morning. Apparently, they decided to spend New Year’s Eve and the first few days of the new year in Pontybridge instead.
