40 “I still can’t believe you’ve kept it a secret for this long.” Naomi held a red balloon, about to blow it up. “Are you sure your parents don’t suspect?” Hannah shushed her best friend, pulling her into the old man’s side of the pub, away from her mum and dad, who were busy talking to Eddie. “Keep your voice down. Mum’s got hearing like a hawk. And no, they don’t suspect anything. Why should they? It’s not like I talk about him all the time to them, is it?
