Adele lowered her fork, placing it on the table. She turned to her slightly, giving her a nod. Stretching her hand, she grabbed her stick, holding it firmly before pushing herself out of the chair and standing up. She then grabbed her stick with both hands, for more support before she started walking.
“Ma’am let me help you”. Adele heard her say followed by a shuffling of feet and firm hands clutching her right arm, which felt hot under her lace puffy sleeves. It burned, Adele hated the burn, but it happened whenever someone she didn’t know held her.
