Chapter 4(Giving Love a second chance)

It was on a hot afternoon, and Jade was in a conference meeting with his workers when he heard the news of my suicide. He quickly handed over the remaining agenda to his Manager and drove to the hospital to check on me.When my mother signaled to me that Jade had arrived at the hospital, I increased my feelings, pretending to be seriously ill.I could see him feeling very remorseful, as he sat by my hospital bed caressing my hair, and speaking sweet words to my soul.I could hear his heartbeat longing for my embrace. He felt very bad as he realized that I intended to take my life because of him.He began to render apologies with great acknowledgment of my love for him.He couldn't believe that I loved him that much until the incident. He became more engrossed in love for me, praying that I shouldn't die and leave him alone. I heard every Sweet word he spoke and that gladden my spirit, and helped to keep me strong again.My action reignited Jade's love for me. He paid every bill that I incurred in the hospital and left, promising to check on me later.He bought many gifts including flowers and visited my house, three days after I was discharged from the hospital. His realization led to a deeper understanding of his feelings, and he appreciated my love and devotion.Jade was deeply moved by my action and it made him realize the depth of my love. He began to question his own feelings and priorities.He decided to give our relationship another try. Each time he reflected on the situation, he appreciated my love for him.With a new found understanding, Jade decided to chase me back and make amends. He wanted to prove his love and commitment to me.Jade reached out to me on calls with a sincere apology, acknowledging his past mistakes and expressed his desire to make things right.He made every effort to prove his love and commitment, showing me that he valued our relationship and was ready to work through our issues.Jade planned romantic gestures and surprise dates, hoping to rekindle the spark between us. As we spent more time together, Jade and I began to emotionally reconnect. We talked openly about our feelings, fears and hope. He worked hard to rebuild trust and strengthen our bond.I began to heal and I forgave him. I saw the effort he put into making things right and I appreciated his commitment towards our relationship.Jade kept surprising me with romantic getaways, Candlelit dinner, and thoughtful gifts. He never stopped at nothing to show me how much I meant for him.After all the storm, we decided to move on with our engagement and wedding plan.I was in a salon on a faith day, when Jade called and asked me to see him in his office.As I arrived at his office towards afternoon, his secretary informed him of my arrival. Jade rushed downstairs to take me with him to a shopping mall. I couldn't call to inform him of my arriva,l because I wanted to see more of his actions at my sight. It gladdened my heart to see him demonstrating love to me.He took me to an Italian Shopping Mall to choose a beautiful dress for our engagement celebration.He said the last engagement was messed up by an intruder and that he wanted to correct all the mistakes.I chose a beautiful green gown with golden designs on the chest area. We had a lot of fun and he took me home very late in the night and informed my parents about our engagement celebration, which he had fixed in a week.We enjoyed every moment, from choosing the venue to the planning, and everything was perfect.On the expected day, our friends and well-wishers were present including our family members who travelled from far and near to celebrate our special day. Our loved ones were overjoyed at the prospect of our union.Our engagement was a whirlwind of excitement and it was my dream come through, for I took my time to enjoy every moment of it with Jade by my side.I couldn't quickly forget the last dramatic engagement that shattered my peace.Everyone of the guests had their fun to the fullest and our love blossomed again.Immediately after the engagement party, Jade fixed our wedding and the news began to ring like a bell hanging on the air The date was published with our pictures on the daily News Papers. It was news everywhere.Leticia was devastated when she realized Jade had chosen me over her. She felt a deep sense of loss and heartache.She wondered what she could have done differently. She replayed every of her discussion and love mood with Jade, searching for clues that might explain why Jade chose someone else.As time progressed, Leticia accepted the reality of the situation, but she refused to give up on Jade as she kept plotting revenge to destroy my joy on the wedding day.Leticia couldn't shake off her feelings for Jade. She became fixated on him, refusing to accept that he had moved on with me.She started plotting her revenge, thinking of ways to disrupt our marriage. She wanted to cause us pain and suffering. Her action became so malicious that she lost the respect and trust of those around her.The wedding day finally arrived and I was filled with excitement and joy, ready to start my new life with Jade.At 8:24 am on a Saturday, the wedding day, I took off from my hotel room where Jade had lodged me for two days with helpers to keep me fit and well beautified.On my way to the event hall, an unforgettable disaster struck me. A group of masked individuals ambushed our vehicle, shot my driver on the leg, tied up my maid of the day, and kidnapped me to an unknown location.They took all our phones and there was no way I could reach out to Jade. They were patiently waiting for my arrival till 11:am when it became obvious that something was wrong somewhere.
