• 01 - SLIP ONE'S MIND •

A thought slipping like an eel on your grasp.

| Ryujin's POV |

"Ryujin~!"

I heard someone called my name from behind so I turned around to see Heejin waving at me. As usual she is with Hyujin and they both have their arms tangled to each other. They are siblings and are really close to me.

"Hi." I greeted them with a smile as they both approach me.

"Let's go have some movie marathon and sleepover to our dorm tomorrow, Ryujinie." Hyujin invited me with a grin on her face.

I hummed as an approval while nodding my head since I'm so vacant tomorrow after school. I don't have some works to do and I don't think the professors would give us some assignments today anyway since it's near weekends.

The bell rang signalling for the class will start in a few minutes.

I went to my class after bidding a goodbye to my two best friends. As usual when I get in, it is a total chaos inside the classroom and when I say chaos, it is a total disaster. Some of my classmates are chatting loudly with their friends as if they are alone here, some are playing around with their school supplies.

I quickly step backwards when I saw one of my classmates running to my way and good thing I did it sooner before we bumped to each other.

I exhales harshly out of annoyance. I'm alone in this class, I don't have Heejin nor Hyujin with me so I'm alone here and completely bored plus annoyed by the noise my classmates are producing. I also don't have that much friends here either since I just found Heejin and Hyujin trustworthy here.

I just quietly sat down to my chair at the second to the last row. What unlucky I am cause I had seatmates with a known troublemaker here in school. He is not that bad actually to the point that he will always pick a fight whener he wants. Well that's what I heard and saw. This troublemaker is just quite a tease besides he always have a number one target here.

I pulled out my notebook from my bag as the professor get inside. The noise turns to lingering quietness since we noticed the unusual bad aura circling our professor.. which is so unusual. She have this scowl expression and dark circles under her eyes. She looks restless as ever. She is far from that bubbly and actually happy go lucky professor before.

"Jung Chaewon. Please put away your earphones." Professor Kang called out and the student having that name is sitting just behind me.

All the students turns their head to the person behind me as I slightly tilted my head to look over my shoulders and there I saw Chaewon staring outside by the window probably having a deep thought or so..

Kang Minhee, her well known friend here in class because of his 'pince-like' beauty plus his blonde hair that really suits him. He pulled the earphones from Chaewon's ear causing for Chaewon to turn her gaze towards her friend and give him a glare however Minhee just pointed his index finger to the front where Professor Kang is. Once Chaewon noticed our professor in front, she quickly pulled away her earphones as she said sorry multiple times.

I divert my gaze from her and just draw some doodles on my notebook but of course I still have my ears up to listen what's happening around me and I found out that we are having two transfer students.

Jung Chaewon.

She is not close to me, neither we treat each other as friends. We are total strangers and even though she is my classmate here in this class, we didn't talk to each other if not necessary and school related.

I know she is not normal. I am not saying that she is abnormal. What I'm trying to say is she is not a normal human at all. That there's this something more that is running through her veins.

I can say it cause I can feel it.

I, myself... is also not just a normal human. I am also beyond to what others expect. To what ordinary humans can't think of possible.

I know I don't belong in this world... but I know behalf of me still belongs here.

Confusing..

I know..

Cause I myself is confused too to whom really I am.

The school now ended without notice like a gush of wind passing by.

Today's thursday and I still need to wait til tomorrow to finally have a total whole day rest or some free bonding with my two friends without school works to mind.

I return inside my locker the books and some notebooks I used as a white thin thing slides down to the floor coming from my locker.

"What the hell is this?" I mumbled under my breath reaching down to get the white envelope lazily.

It's just a simple white envelope and there's this logo paste in front.

Semideus.

That's what I read on the logo. Semideus eh? It's quite familiar word to me but I can't remember what is the meaning of it.

"Ryujin!!" I look at Hyujin and Heejin who is running towards me as I show them a smile. I swiftly put the envelope inside my bag as the two approach me.

"You know, you don't need to shout." I reminded Heejin slightly laughing at her.

"I'm just excited for our sleepover, you know!" Heejin replied joyfully. She wrapped her hands around my left arm as Hyujin did the same with my right.

Oh gosh this two.

Oh wait..

I halted my steps making this two stop too. "I thought we're going to sleepover tomorrow?" I remind them confusedly.

The both of them scratch their napes sheepishly so I raise my brow at them until Hyujin answer. "Heejin is excited so I am so yeah, we thought about having sleepovers now and tomorrow."

"Oh.. okay but please do remind me sometimes and not suddenly dragging me everywhere." I told them chuckling and they nodded.

We made our way to their dorm room. I don't need to go back to my own dorm since I have some of my clothes here. Let's say we do sleepovers more often before.

We put our bags in the couch. "I'll go prepare our snacks!" as usual, Heejin run to the kitchen to get some snacks.

Oh how I wish she won't eat our used to be snacks before the movie started cause I remember this one time when Heejin ate all the snacks we should have for our movie marathon before we even started.

Me and Hyujin get the blankets, pillows and everything we needed from their room. After we put everything in place at the middle of their living room, I walk to the small cabinet beside the TV where all their DVDs were placed. "Do you have anything in mind to what are we going to watch?" I asked them while looking through each and every DVDs in my hand. We already watched most of it honestly.

"How about some horror movie?" I heard Hyujin suggested while she sat down to the mattress we prepared.

"Wahhh!! I want that!! Let's go watch Anabelle!!" now I heard Heejin screaming in the kitchen.

I slightly shook my head with a small smile. Heejin really don't change. Heejin is still loud as ever not just like Hyujin who is quiet and always calm but they are both clingy as hell and how they acted awhile ago explains everything.

I placed the DVDs inside the cabinet before I settled the TV. "Let's watch in netflix then." I announced. Heejin went back from the kitchen and sit at my right side. She placed the snacks and a bowl of popcorn in front of me since I am sitting between them two.

At the middle of watching I felt something strange. I glance to Heejin and Hyujin. They have their eyes glued in the tv but... I suddenly felt bothered... because of what they feel.

I turn my gaze back in the tv. "You two know, you can tell me everything." I told them softly. I then felt how these two suddenly tensed up. I pause the movie in front of us and make myself face them. "Anything.. wrong?" I asked them concerned possibly visible on my face.

The playful, light and scary atmosphere caused by our laughter, screams by the movie are all gone as it changed into something heavy one. Well, I don't feel uncomfortable about it.. maybe these two in front of me thus.

"Uhm.. Ryujinie.." my brow automatically raise when these two look at each other with uneasiness. Okay, they indeed hiding something from me.

"Look, I'm not pressuring the both of you but you two know that you can tell me everything." I said moving to the place between them and continue the movie but the atmosphere surrounding us didn't change.

I sigh. "I'm tired." I mumbled but enough for them to hear as I made myself laid down. I'm not pissed because they didn't told me why they are like that. Maybe slightly annoyed but I still understand that they may have a reason why.

I turn my body sideways to be comfortable and was about to drift to sleep when I felt an hand touching my waist. "Ryujinie~"

I rolled to be on my back again before looking back at them confusedly. Hyujin sigh. "We are going to leave." she said. I sat up abruptly in shock. "When?" I asked them.

"Uhm.. on monday." Heejin answered while playing with her fingers. "We talk to Mr. Lee that we really need to transfer schools and he already approved. We just need to attend tomorrow class before leaving." she continued. Oh that's why I saw some of their luggages hidden under their bed awhile ago. Hyujin grab my hand and hold it. "We're very sorry that we just told you now." she said putting her head down.

I patted her shoulder. "It's okay. If you two will be leaving on monday then why don't we go shopping on saturdays and sundays?" I suggested to lighten up the mode. I saw the both of them smile so I smile back at them. "Let's sleep, I'm sleepy." I told them and go back to my position minutes ago.

Hyujin turned off the tv and the both of them laid down beside me and we snuggles tightly to the blanket. 'Sleep.' I said inside my head and not that long I heard the stable breathing of these two besides me.

The reason why I didn't ask to where they will go on monday is because I already know..

.. everything.

Not that long, my eyes slowly close as I let myself went to dreamland.

I woke up early than Hyujin and Heejin so I decided to cook some breakfast for us. We still have more than 2 hours before our classes. After I cooked, I woke up the two sleepyheads. We settled ourselves in their dining area and started to eat.

"You really cook well, Ryujinie~"

"How I wish I had the same cooking skills."

I slightly chuckles at their side comments. "Stop it you two, just eat so that we can all take a shower." I told them.

Just like before, it was me who finished first. Hyujin said she will be the one to wash the dishes so I made my way to the bathroom. After taking a quick shower, I decided to brush my teeth but after doing it, I just found myself staring at myself through the mirror.

My head then started to ache as if it was getting hammered multiple times. I hold tightly on the sink as I tried to calm myself down but it gotten worst than I thought.

'Nisha..'

'Nisha..'

Who the hell is that? That voice keep on repeating the same word.. or name.. Nisha? Who is that?

'Nisha, listen to me..'

'Why would I? Who are you?'

I asked back without knowing what's really happening. I'm totally confused. Who owns this voice anyway? My hold on the sink tightens and I just felt my breathing getting shorten as if someone have its hand gripping my neck. I.. I can't breath properly.

'Listen to what your heart is saying and you will find answers.'

That's the last thing I heard from that unknown voice inside my head before the ache in my head lessen and I already got a hold of my own breathing again. I stared back at my reflection from the mirror. I have beads of sweat on my forehead and stained tears on my cheeks. I didn't notice that I unconsciously cried. My mind then suddenly goes blank.. and I suddenly can't remember just happened. I gape.

Fuck what just happened?

"Ryujinie! Are you done??!" I heard Heejin's muffled voice as she knock on the bathroom door. I quickly fixed myself by washing my face again as if nothing really happened before I open the door. Heejin grins when she saw me. "I thought you fell asleep on the tub, hehe."

"No, I just took a shower. Now go." I told her before pushing her inside. I sigh and just get myself ready for the day.

"Hey Ryujinie, are you still with uss~~?" I heard a snap of fingers as I blink continuously snapping myself to reality. s**t I'm zoning out and this is kinda unusual to me.

"Y-yeah, are you saying something?" I asked them while scratching my nape shyly.

"I suggested if we could go to the mall later." Heejin bubbly said with a cute grin on her lips.

"Oh well yeah of course we can." I agreed nodding my head. We are now heading to the lockers area to get our books and readied ourselves for the next class.

"Hey, are you okay?" Hyujin put a hand on my shoulder while looking at me in concern. I left a sigh. I don't know, I can't understand it myself. I know, something happened a while ago at the bathroom but how come I can't suddenly remember anything?

It's like... it simply slipped on my mind like nothing really happened.

"I'm fine."
