DIMITRI HELD THE door to Doc Henderson’s open so that Adira could enter, and then followed. Just before he closed the door, he saw Lainie and Rance pull into the doctor’s parking lot, which really wasn’t much of a parking lot, merely a few spots in front of the building where the grass refused to grow. Of course, the doc’s office was an old, abandoned house he took over a few years ago when the paranormal moved into Bull Creek, converting most of the bedrooms into exam rooms. He kept the master bedroom for his own, which seemed only fair. Dimitri had never figured out if Talquin convinced the doctor to take up residence in the small community or if Doc Henderson arrived with his own secrets to protect.
