As soon as Alexander returned to his human form, he noticed a sharp pain in his leg. Filled with annoyance and fury, he let out a deafening scream that everyone likely heard. “That human is going to pay dearly!” he exclaimed, distressed by the fact that he had hurt his ankle. Emily seemed to be one of those slender yet powerful people, Alexander thought, surprised that her kick had been strong enough to injure his wolf-shaped leg. “It wasn’t her kick; it was the impact against the wall that hurt me… that wretched girl…” Alexander murmured to himself, shifting his uncomfortable foot back and forth.
