"Hey Sofiana," We hear quite clearly from the other side of the room, "would you like a milkshake and a bacon burger before dinner?" Their whole table starts chuckling.
"No way Rafe! I don't want to look like a BLIMP like some people! I'll just have a fruit smoothie please" she replies with a sickeningly sweet smile our way.
The table erupts in laughter. About the time I decide I've had enough we hear Ray heading our way.
"Hey my beauties! Please tell me you got shakes? And where's my food? Hey Juli! Can I get a bacon double cheese burger, large fries, and 2 chocolate shakes please?"
She grins at him and puts in his order.
"So ladies, I am very glad to see you have shakes and not a smoothie. The only healthy smoothie is one made from scratch. Otherwise you're likely to break out and get thunder thighs like some people." He makes sure to say this fairly loud, and by the look on Rafe and Sofiana's faces they definitely heard.
"So, what have you been talking about while waiting for me?" Ray asks. "Anything good?"
"Actually, we've been discussing names for the new pack" I answer quietly, knowing Rafe is still focusing on us. "We want something strong and accepting."
"I have had time to think and I think Courageous Lupines sounds good" Ray says, completely surprising us.
"That's actually pretty good Ray" I say, wondering when he had time during his 'extra curricular activities'. "What do you think Mac?"
"I still like Stranger Things, but Ray's is a close second" she says with a pout, before breaking out in a grin. "Now we need to start working on the proposal for the Alpha."
Ray's food came and we all discussed ways to word our proposal while he ate. Then they dropped me off at home before waving bye and taking off. I sighed, staring at our house.
"Hope! Get your lazy ass in here! You better have brought dinner or you'll spend a week locked up!"
"Coming Da-Lowell!" I sigh again and head inside, already dreaming of our future pack.
