As was typical during American History class, Keltie fell asleep at her desk. “Miss Burke!” Mr. Johnson roared, making her almost fall from the chair. He smiled once he had her attention. His big, square head tilted, and for a moment Keltie was blinded by a ray of May sunshine that flared the lenses of his glasses. “Welcome back to the land of the living.” “My apologies,” Keltie said.
