Make amends
Ryan was shuffling uncomfortably in his seat. “Lauren, I’m so sorry that you had to see that” he bowed his head in shame. Is that all he has to say for himself? I kept my gaze on him for a moment longer, hoping he would give an explanation. Finally, when I couldn’t control my anger anymore I scoffed at him. “Why?” He didn’t answer, instead the shame on his face exaggerated. I don’t even know why I came. I thought that he wanted to clear the air, but obviously I was wrong. I shook my head and stood up. “Wait!” He called out and grabbed my arm. “Please, just sit down and let me explain” he sighed.
