Harker followed Alison into the house. She hadn’t said one word on the way home. He walked into the living room, preparing himself for the upcoming battle but Alison went straight to the bedroom. That was fine with him because he was tired of fighting with her over the same damn thing. He went into the library and poured himself a drink.
He turned as he heard her walk past. “What the hell are you doing?”
“Going to bed.” She clutched her pillow to her chest.
“Your bed is in our room.”
“No. That’s your bed. My room and my bed are down the hallway.” Her chin jutted out.
“Alison, don’t push me on this.” His hand tightened on his glass.
