I hated the way Jasper was behaving and I hated the way he was making me feel. It was as if Ruth…that witch, had erased everything that Jasper and I discussed before we go here. He was no longer talking about going to see the oracle and I presumed that meant that Ruth had convinced him that it wasn’t necessary. What the hell was Ruth hiding? What was it that she was so desperate to keep hidden? She obviously didn’t want to lose control of Jasper and she knew that seeing another oracle would probably finish off what was left of her relationship with him. I felt like she was using me, she was now using her so-called change in behavior as a way to convince Jasper that she was on his side which she obviously wasn’t.
