RAFE’S POV I froze, my fingers still curled around the glass I’d brought for her. She didn’t look at me, nor did she acknowledge the drink. She just ran away like I was some sort of disease, disappearing into the crowd before I could even utter her name. A weird feeling settled in my stomach. I knew something was wrong. She didn't want Jane here, but the Maya I know wouldn't easily leave unless something triggered her. I slowly turned my gaze toward Jane.
