The sound of the steady beating of my heart greets me as I wake. The bright blast of sunlight burns my retinas and I hiss. Damn, not used to the sun yet vampire. I chuckle silently at the thought, and how much it sounds like a certain blue eyed boy - who tried to kill me. I look around the small private hospital room decorated with get well soon cards and balloons... someone even left me flowers. No doubt that was Bri's doing.
