Seth’s POV
I wish I could have had just a minute to tell P what she was in for. The smile of relief she wore after Duke said we would be grouped together only added salt to the wound I was yet to reveal. The change in tests also wasn’t helping my mood. Duke had discovered the news of what was to come had spread and always a lover of surprises had rejigged it all to ‘keep us on our toes’. The remainder of our time would be spent hiking and navigating our way through the forrest, like some annoying scavenger hunt. Our time would only end once we had completed all the tasks, the faster the better of course. And to ‘equal the playing field’ we would not be allowed to use our abilities, no popping, no shifting, no shortcuts.
