I have no idea how long I ran for, my mind racing, Zach howling to return to Penelope. But even as the hours passed I still didn’t trust myself to return to her alone. I focused hard linking Sofie before I popped beside her. She was surrounded by vampires, and although I knew they offered no threat whilst she was their queen it still unnerved me having so many blood red eyes staring at me. With a wave of her hand they all dispersed bar one, “it’s fine Roman, he is my brother I told you about” she said, resting her hand on his arm.
