There were a few people Ian recognized, but he had no clue who the majority of the mourners were. He was disheartened when realized just how little he knew about his wife’s business life and her associates. He tried to be polite as they came to him and offered their condolences, but he didn’t know how many more times he could listen to someone tell him, “I’m so sorry for your loss,” without going insane.
