Two Hearts, One War “You can’t hide from me,” he hissed. I walked in front of the females. “Leave now, Luca. Walk away while you can.” He laughed. Aria edged behind me. “You destroyed my chance at power,” he spat. I swung the pistol. He ducked, shots flying. Aria shot twice. Luca staggered… but then pulled a grenade. His eyes met me. “Goodbye, Dante.” He pulled the pin. Aria yelled. I lunged—and shoved her behind a stone pillar. The blast rattled the room. Rubble cleared— I choked in dust. Aria appeared. “Sofia?” From the wreckage—Sofia climbed out, gripping Luna’s hand. We hugged, a shattered family reunited. But atop the falling rubble—Luca stood.
