Jack Adams, was my best friend's brother, the CEO of Adams Industries and my worst nightmare. During our childhood he was always teasing me and during my freshman in collage he broke my heart.
"Jack, darling, I am so happy that you could make. How were you able to come back from Paris that fast?" my mom was the one that was greeting him.
"Good evening Mrs. Smith, you know that I would attend any event you host even if I was on the other side of the world." he said while kissing my mom the cheeks. "Mr. Smith, I am sorry that I am late. My plane landed 30 minutes ago, however I got stuck in traffic coming here." he was shaking my dad's hand.
"Jack, son, I am so happy that you made it. I wanted to share my happiness with you. My sweet baby girl has decided to come back home, Jack." in that moment I saw tears in my father's eyes.
I knew that my family missed me, I missed them too. My mom came to see me every month, however, my dad, I have never imagined that he missed me that me much. My vision got blurry and I took his cheeks in my hands "Daddy, stop crying, I am here now and I am here for good. I missed you so much, please stop being sad, you know my heart aches when I see you like this." I put a smile on my face and turned around "Greetings Jack."
"Good evening, Bella and welcome home. It's good to see you after all this years." he replied smiling
"Thank you, it is good to be back. Now I have to go, I see some old friends that I want to say"Hi" to. See you around and enjoy the party." I turned around and left.
After a while I saw Jack making his way to me and I took my leave. While climbing the stairs I noticed Jules, but it was too late. Tears started falling down my cheeks and I got in my bedroom closing the door behind me. I embraced myself an started sobbing remembering why I left home, why a transferred to Stanford in the middle on the freshman year, why I choose to left my home and never come back. It all hit me like happened yesterday and in the end I fell asleep on the floor. Around one in the morning I woke up, took of my heels and dress and went to bed.
