Aurelia's POV  The fluorescent lights of the hospital waiting room were harsh and unforgiving as I sat in the uncomfortable plastic chair, my hands still stained with Adrian's blood. The paramedics had worked frantically over him during the ambulance ride, and I'd been relegated to the sidelines to watch helplessly. "He protected us," Luna said quietly in my mind. "He could have died protecting us." The guilt was eating me alive. Adrian was lying in surgery because someone had targeted me. Again. My phone buzzed with Cecil's number, and I answered immediately.
