The playful atmosphere in Leon's hospital room shifted when his expression grew more serious, his dark eyes studying my face with an intensity that made me shift uncomfortably in my chair.
"So," he said casually, adjusting his position against the pillows, "I heard you registered for the medical competition."
I blinked in surprise, my hand freezing halfway to reaching for my water bottle. "How did you... how do you know about that?"
