Aurelia's POV
"I'm not leaving," I said firmly, crossing my arms as I stood beside Adrian's hospital bed. "Not until I know he's completely safe."
Caesar stepped forward, his expression serious. "Aurelia, we've had our people searching all night. Ryker has disappeared completely. No hotel registrations, no credit card activity, nothing."
"That doesn't mean he's gone," I protested. "It means he's being careful."
"Which is exactly why you need to come with us," Leon added quietly. "If he's planning something, you're vulnerable here."
Adrian shifted in his hospital bed, wincing slightly as he sat up straighter.
"They're right," he said reluctantly. "I can't protect you like this. And my brothers are at the resort—they don't even know what happened yet."
