Aurelia's POV
"Let me out of this car right now!" I screamed, throwing my full weight against the door handle. But of course it was locked—child safety locks engaged like I was some kind of toddler having a tantrum.
Maddox sat beside me while Galen drove, both of them infuriatingly calm as I fought against their kidnapping.
"Relax, Aurelia," Maddox said, not even flinching when I tried to claw at his face. "We're just taking you somewhere safe."
"Safe?" I laughed hysterically. "You're kidnapping me! This is the opposite of safe!"
I lunged for the steering wheel, desperate to cause enough chaos to make them pull over.
"If you don't let me go right now, I'll make us crash," I threatened. "I'll grab that wheel and send us all into oncoming traffic."
