THE TALK I’m half asleep when I feel my bed shake. My eyes pop open, and I’m staring up at Jeff as I break into a wide yawn. “Hey, did you just get home?” My voice is groggy. “I made some coffee. Why don’t you have a cup with me?” “Don’t you need to sleep? Coffee will keep you up.” I cover my mouth, yawning again. “I caught some sleep last night at the hospital.
