I stared at myself in the mirror as I held a pair of scissors within my right hand and Kieran placed on the bathroom counter in a car seat to the left of me. My child had been silent for the last hour which I had been grateful for as I had been on edge the last few days. We had managed to escape Ezra’s territory unseen and unheard only for the hounds to be after us just a short time later.
Fear overwhelmed my mind as I imagined Ryland standing over my mates’ dead body and controlling those around him as if he were the Alpha. I couldn’t go home as I didn’t feel safe there with how things had progressed with Deia. I couldn’t be sure if Ryland had spies within my parent’s territory.
