“s**t!” I said exasperated as I quickly turned the corner and pressed my back against the wall as I spotted Ezra heading my way.
I wasn't in the mood to encounter Ezra or anyone else after what had happened the other day. I had been on edge and have been avoiding Ezra while I tried to figure out a way to keep Deia here. I was used to Deia’s emotional outbursts by now as she had been like that her entire life.
I looked towards the direction that I had come and quickly considered retracing my steps before he spotted me. He had been trying to track me down since the feud with Deia, but I have managed to avoid him until now. My heat had ended a day earlier than normal which I wasn’t expecting but I didn’t mind as It made it easier for me to hide from Ezra.
