Ensley rolled over and slowly opened her eyes. She looked around and realized that she wasn’t home. Everything that had happen the day before came flooding back. She tried to sit up to only fall out of the bed. She heard the foot steps behind her as she struggles to get on her feet. “You’re up! Thank goodness.” a silver-haired lady said as she bent down and put her arms around Ensley’s waist. “Here let me help. An iron tip arrow can knock us fae on our asses.” “Fae?” Ensley whisper. “what is fae?” she asked “Fairies.” She simply said. Ensley remembers the man with the pretty wings. The more she looked at the women in front of her the more she started to realize that the women skin had a pearl undertone to it. Her eyes were almost pink, she smiled down at Ensley and opened her wings. Ensley stared at amazement. Her wings matched her eyes and hair. “You’re a fairy as well,” Ensley stated. “Of course!” She smiled at Ensley again “You need to know something Ensley, so listen closely. When two souls are meant to be together, they will always be drawn to each other. No matter how hard they try to fight it. Their souls are one. They can run, but they won’t get far. Do you understand what I’m saying?” Her eyes held excitement. Ensley looked up at her. She was about to ask her what her name is but was cut off by the man from last night. “I see you're up,” he turned to the silver fairy “Maeve, why didn’t you send word that she was up?” He spat out. He looked angry. “Calev, prying eyes.” She simply said and glided out of the room. He looked down at Ensley. “Can you not stand up yet, water fae?” Ensley stared at him in shock. “What do you mean water fae?! I’m human!” He chuckled under his breath “I beg to differ, Princess.’’ His eyes held something that Ensley had not seen before. It was like he could see into her soul. She quickly looked away. She heard him chuckle again. “Why are you laughing at me?” She demanded as she crossed her arms. “You know your kind of cute mad.” He said walking to the door. He ducked just as Ensley threw a pillow at him. “Hey, now we don’t know each other well enough for that kind of play.” He snickered. Throwing the pillow back at her hitting her in the face. She shot up only to drop to the floor. Calev rushed to her. “That arrow took a lot out of you, didn’t it?” He looked concerned. Ensley shook her head and climbed back into bed just as Maeve came back in. “She needs a few more days to heal. Calev, you need to be careful. She is the last. You know what will happen if the others find out she is here. They will hunt her.” The look in her eyes changed. She was no longer upbeat. Ensley pushed herself up to sit up. “What do you mean I’m the last? The last what?” Ensley looked at them both. Calev looked back at Ensley. She could tell by the look in his eyes that she wasn’t going to like what he was going to say. “Calev, you should be the one to tell her…” She looked at then both as she walked back to the door. “She has the right to know what she is up against.” With that, she was gone. Ensley turned to Calve. “What is she talking about?” Calev pulled up a chair and sat down. He looked at the ground and then her. “What I about to tell you will probably make you run, yet I’m hoping you won’t. I am hoping you will stay and help me build this kingdom back what it once was Princess.” Calev stared at her. “Go on…” Ensley said. She had her hands in her lap playing with the blanket. Calev took a deep breath and let it all out. “About 100 years or so ago all water fae were hunted down because they held the most power….” To be continued
