Chapter 19

I've been with The Crescent Moon Coven for 5 months. They have trained me in in all of the elements but life. I keep having trouble with that one, it's all about healing. I've been training with Damien to help control myself when I shift,hes also helped me with fighting. He doesn't like being to close with me, and avoids me when we aren't training.

I've tried talking to him but he just ignores me, he doesn't want anyone to know that we are mates. He looked happy when he realized I was his mate, but now I feel like he doesn't want me. It's gotten to the point I'm gonna trap us in a room or something. I just want him to talk to me.

My alarm starts to go off. " I thought I turned it off. "

I grab my phone and turn the alarm off. " Stay off. "

I lay in my bed for a few minutes then sigh. I get out of bed and stretch. I don't need to do any teachings today. Rhea is try to find a way for me to learn the life element and said I could relax for today. I've been training 16 hours a day everyday for the past 5 months. Half is learning magic and the other half is fighting, and fighting with magic.

I sigh and walk out of my room. I don't really know what to do. They don't have a lot of things to do here. I might go into town or something, get some fries. Hopefully the let me go, I've learned to hide my marking with magic. Human can't see the marks anyway. I sigh again and walk around the castle.

" Raven, whatcha doing wondering around. " Adam says.

I sigh. " I don't know. I don't have to train today and don't have anything to do. "

" Is something wrong though, you're sighing a lot. "

" It's nothing. "

" I can ask the twins, their both still upset about running away when you first came here. We all can go out or something. "

" What about Layla. "

" Yea. She's still mad at me for setting those wolves on fire. She's from a different coven then us, and only focuses helping not attacking. She doesn't like it when others use their powers for that. "

" Why is she here. "

" Her coven was attacked and her pond got contaminated, so all of the witches spread out to help others. They focus on the life element and she was trying to help with the pond, but isn't up to the level of purifying. "

" Oh I see. You can ask the twins but I'm not sure if they'll come. They are kinda afraid of me. "

" Well you did defeat Rhea is a battle with shadow and water element. She's the strongest in those two elements, and when the other witch came to fight you with water, you annihilated her, and same with the one with nature. No one here has seen anyone this strong. "

" Those two didn't seem to happy about that, they trained for hundreds of years and I defeated them, only been training a few months. "

He laughs. " Yea you shoulda heard them it was funny. I'll go ask the twins and we'll go out and get you some fries. "

I smirk.

He laughs. " I knew that would cheer you up. We'll meet you at your car in like five minutes. "

" Okay. See you in five. "

" Yep. "

I start to walk back to my room and he heads in the opposite direction. Adam is the one that trained me in fire element. He's not a master but he taught me the basics and is really nice. The twins are new to their powers and ran away when I first came here, I don't blame them though.

I reach my room and get changed. I remember how I used to be, I was afraid of everything and didn't know what to do. Now I can fight and protect those important to me. I wonder if my dad would be proud of me. I shake my head. Not best to think about that now. I grab my phone and head for the car. Adam is already waiting by the car.

I walk over to him. " Where are the twins. "

" Oh they wanna study and train, plus they were to scared to come. "

" Yea kinda expected. "

He puts his hand out.

" Whats that for. "

He smiles. " The keys. I don't feel safe with you driving, I'd rather fight you than have you drive. "

I chuckle. " I'm not that bad. "

I had him the keys.

" We almost died the last time. "

" Okay. That was an accident, there was a squirrel in the road. "

He chuckles. " Why did you speed up then. "

I shrug my shoulders. " I'm still a new driver, and shut up. "

He chuckles again and we get in the car and into town.

" You picked a good day to have off, The Cool Catch is having a deal on fries. "

" Really. " I say surprised.

He laughs. " I can't believe you like fries so much. I saw you eat a whole family sized bag of fries to yourself. "

" I didn't. "

" Really. I have witnesses. "

I chuckle slightly. " It's what give me power. "

" Shut up. " He laughs.

We pull up to the diner.

" So cool that they have a diner dedicated to fries. "

He nods in agreement. " I don't really like fries much, but this place is the best. "

" What. How can you not like fries. "

" I'm just picky. " He smiles.

We get out of the car and walk in.

" Oh look its my favorite couple. " The owner says.

" Were not. No. Were just friends. " We both stammer out.

He laughs. " Coulda fooled me. You here for the deal, I did just for you miss Raven. "

I smile. " Really. "

" Well, you are the first one to actually have us do an emergency order on potatoes. " He says.

Adam looks at me. " Jesus woman. "

" What. I got into it really bad with Damien that day. "

" Oh this is where you went. "

" Yea. "

" You two take your seat and I'll get you the usual. " The owner says.

" Will do. " Adam says.

We sit down in our usual spot. Whenever I would finish training early or have a break, or get into it with Damien I would come here. The people are nice and my people skills are better. I made friends with Adam and Layla, but Layla is mad at Adam for uses his magic. He comes from a coven that is the opposite of hers, so it kinda makes sense.
