He walks in the room.
" Evenin Val, can you do the check up on her now. "
I look at her and it's the woman from before.
" If you wait a few minutes, I just have to finish up here. "
He nods at her.
" Just sit over there. "
He points to a chair and I sit down on it.
" I'll be back later okay. "
" Okay. "
He walks out of the room and closes the door. I sit and wait quietly till she finishes.
" Okay finished. " She rubs her hands together. " Sorry about that, I went to another pack to help teach them. " She stands up. " Okay just follow me over here. "
She heads towards a door and opens it.
" This is the medical part of the building, just sit on the bed. "
I walk over and sit on the bed.
" I'm just gonna do a check up okay. "
I nod. " Okay. "
After a half hour she finishes the check up and has a weird look on her face.
" You're a werewolf right. "
" Yea, why is something wrong. "
She looks at me. " Your parents, what are they like. "
" My dad was a strong fighter and took care of me, I don't know anything about my mom, since she died when I was a baby. "
She takes a deep breath. " Do you know what a hybrid is. "
I give her a confused look. " A hybrid, like a mix of species. "
" Yes exactly. Do you know any kinds of werewolf hybrids. "
I shake my head.
" There's actually lots of hybrids out there, but the most common ones are witch/vampire hybrids. They spend a lot of time together to their mates are sometimes other species. It's rare to have witch/werewolf hybrids, extremely rare for werewolf/vampire hybrids. I think your a hybrid. "
" Me? " I say confused.
" Yes. Most hybrids are sick like you during childhood, but it stops once you get into adolescent. It should stop a bit before you shift, and that could be anytime after 16. In the meantime we'll make you some medicine to help you. "
" Does that mean I can stay. "
She sighs. " It's not up to me kid, we are going to discuss later. It's not really up to us either, it's up to the pack. You'll be able to stay here for a week, two at most. "
She gets up and heads to a desk then turns around. " Oh we didn't get your name yet. what is it. "
" It's Raven Crowe. "
" Okay. I'm not gonna be able to get it for you, so you'll have to go down yourself. Just be careful because he's kinda a d**k. I have lots of things to do and then I have to go to the meeting, so here. "
She hands me a piece of paper. " This should be enough to last you a few months, and if you aren't able to stay, you'll still get your meds. "
I grab the paper from her. " Where do I go.
" The basement, but you'll have to go in from the outside. He got rid of the door and left only the outside entrance. " She sighs. " Just go in and give him this. Just go outside and go around to the back of the house and head in. "
" Okay. " I say nervous
I get up and leave the room and look for the front door.
Val POV
Raven gets up and heads out the door. " Hope she finds her way. "
I turn to my desk and start doing paperwork.
" Wheres the girl. "
I turn and see Micheal.
" I sent her to see Conner. "
" Wow. that's cruel. "
She sighs. " Better than me, the last time I went we got in an actual fight. "
" Sending her is cruel though. "
She scoffs. " He's your son. "
He sighs. " I don't even know what to do with him. Sending her is cruel, her pack is the one that killed his older brother, my oldest son. I was resisting the urge to kill her where she stood. "
" I don't think she had anything to do with that. She would've been 7 or 8 when it happened, and she's also a hybrid. "
" A hybrid, are you sure."
I nod. " I don't know which one though, I know she's a werewolf but I'm not sure what else. "
" How can you find out. "
I shrug my shoulders. " It's hard to tell till she shifts, or if any powers come out. "
He sighs. " Hopefully he doesn't do anything. "
I chuckle slightly. " Doesn't matter, not like she'll be staying here. Everyone has heard about her pack and doubt any pack will take her. "
He sighs again. " Something is off about her though, She's not like the rest of the pack. "
" I know and maybe Conner will scare her off, I'm tired of playing nice. "
Raven POV
I open the door to the basement and walk down some stairs.
" Hello. " I stutter nervously.
At the bottom of the stair the hallway splits in two. I look down the right and see a door. I walk over to it and knock on the door and no answer. I turn around and head down the other hall. It leads to a huge room with plants everywhere and chem sets on tables.
I walk over to a plant. It's bright purple, maybe magenta, it looks like a rose, maybe a lily. It's hard to tell. I go to take a closer look but someone pulls me back and I fall.
" What the f**k do you think you're doing. " They shout.
" I'm sorry, I just wanted a better look at it. "
" This is vlarhine plant. It's extremely rare and fragile, please don't touch whats not your. "
" I'm sorry. "
" What are you doing here. "
" Val, I think her name is, told me to bring this to you. "
I hold up the paper and he snatches it from my hand.
He groans in frustration. " Seriously, she's back 5 minutes and already give me s**t to make. It's hybrid medicine too, that'll take me at least an hour to make. "
He looks at me. " Who are you even. "
" Raven Crowe. " I stutter.
" Raven? "
I nod.
He has a sad look on his face. " Just sit other there, I'll be done as soon as I can. " He points towards a couch.
I nod and get up and walk over to the couch and sit down.
