Fear washed up in my chest as I packed a small bag full of essentials. Chad and Phoenix helped me pack a bag full of clothes. Tears welled up in my eyes again, but I pushed them down, swallowing hard. "We will come and visit you when we get the chance," Chad told me, putting an arm on my shoulder. "How long am I going for?"
