I couldn't stop the tears still flooding from my eyes.
I ran to the Alpha house, feeling a little glad to be away from Chad and his anger, but even more frightened to face Phoenix after what I did.

I had no idea what kind of Phoenix I would find.
I walked in after taking several deep breaths, and searched the house quietly to look for him.
