Chapter 13

Emily's POV:

I grabbed the box out of my pocket and held it out in front of me. I looked up at Sara to see her in shock in her beautiful blue eyes. I heard Jess and Ashley gasp inside the car.

Sara's POV:

I looked down at Emily on her knee.

Is she gonna propose? I’m not old enough to get married. Inside I love Emily but I cant get married! I came out of my thoughts and back to Earth. Emily opened the box. It was a ring with a diamond infinity sign on it and Emily and I's names on the inside... it was a promise ring. Emily took it out of the box and put it on my finger. I started to cry. Emily stood back up and I kissed her. We could hear Jess and Ashley yelling and clapping. I finally let go of Emily. "I love you" I said as I started to cry again. "I love you too Sara" Said Emily as she kissed me and wiped the tears off my face.

After about 5 minutes of just crying and hugging we started to calm down. "Hey I have to go, Jess, Ashley and I are going to get froyo. You want some?" I asked as if started to open up the car door. "I cant, I have papers to grade." "Okay, see you tomorrow." I said as I got into the car.

Emily's POV:

I waved goodbye to Sara as she drove off with Ashley and Jess. I walked over to my car and got in. I drive home. I walked inside.

Okay so my house is big and stuff, but I don’t want Sara to come in because I'm not fully moved in yet so its like a mess. I walked into my bathroom. I turned on the shower. I got in and my phone started to ring "s**t" I said as I almost slipped out of the tub to reach my phone, "Hello?" I asked. "Hey babe" Said Jade. "What do you want now Jade?" I got pissed. "I want to come over. Where do you-" I cut Jade off, "Stop calling me. Call me again and I'll call the cops." I said as I hung up on Jade. I went to her number and blocked her.

Sara's POV:

We got to the froyo place and stayed there for 20 minutes. I walked up to the cashier to pay for a bottle of water with Ashley, "Hi" Said the cashier as he smiled. I walked back to Jess to make sure she didn’t want anything. She said 'no' so I walked back. "She has a girlfriend" said Ashley. I looked at her and opened my eyes wide. "Sorry about her." I said to the cashier. "It’s okay.... but so you really have a girlfriend?" He asked. "Yeah. Why?" I asked. "I just thought you were pretty." He said. "Oh thanks. I’m Sara." I said smiling. "I’m Matt Espinosa" Said Matt. "Cool. We should hang out some time?" I said as I reached into my back pocket. "Can i have your number?" He asked. "Yeah" I said writing it down on a napkin.

I paid for the water and went back to sit down with Jess. "Hey. So what happened over there?" Asked Jess. "The cashier was looking at Sara's butt. I told him she had a girlfriend and now him and Sara have each others phone numbers." Said Ashley as she sat down. "Oh. I knew I saw him looking at your butt Sara." Said Jess. I laughed and got up to toss my froyo cup in the trash. "I didn’t wanna just reject him and leave him just standing there," I said as I grabbed my phone off the table. "So I asked if he wanted to hang out some time. Its the nice thing to do." I said as I fixed my crop top and pulled my skinny jeans up a little. "I understand why he was looking at your butt... those jeans make your butt look good." Said Ashley. "Really?" I grabbed my bottle of water off the table as Ashley and Jess got up. "We ready to go?" Asked Jess. "Yeah. Let’s go." I said as I pushed my chair in and took my keys out my pocket. I unlocked the car and got in.

I dropped off Ashley. "Bye Ashley!" Said Jess as she leaned forward into the arm rest. "Are you looking at her butt?" I asked as I laughed. "Yeah." Said Jess as she climbed over the arm rest and sat in the passengers seat. "So...?" Questioned Jess as she elbowed me. "What?" I said as I put my hands on the steering wheel. "Your ring." Said Jess as she nodded her head towards my hand. "Yeah?" I questioned. "I’m assuming you said yes?" Asked Jess. "I didn’t say yes. Its a promise ring." I said as looked at the ring. "Oh." Said Jess. I laughed and started to drive again. I stopped at Jess's house. Jess got out the car, "Do your parents know about you and Emily?" Asked Jess. "Yeah. I told them awhile ago. They think she’s my age though." I said. "Ok okay." Said Jess as she walked to her front door.

I drove home and said goodnight to my parents. I put on a pink tank top and some black and white polka dot pajama bottoms. I got into bed and fell asleep.
