Emily's POV:
First period is about to start. I look up and see a empty seat... Sara's seat. The bell rings. I stood up and spoke to the class," Good Morning class. Today we will-" My phone buzzed, Sara had texted me.
"Emily I wont be able to come to school today and my parents said yes to you meeting them but you cant... not today."
"Why? What happened?"
"Well... I kinda sorta broke my hand and I just got out of surgery and I'm staying at the hospital until probably tomorrow afternoon."
"Oh my gosh! I'll be over in a bit. Give me 30 minutes."
I moved out of my desk, "Okay class I have to go, something really important just came up." I pointed at the substitute. "His name is Mr. Meyers." I walked out of the class.
I got in my car and drove to the store and bought some balloons. I got back in my car and drove to the hospital. I pulled out my phone and parked in the hospital parking lot.
"I’m going inside right now."
I got out the car and went to the front desk, " Welcome to West Valley View Medical Center. How may I help you?" The woman at the front desk smiled. "Can you give me the room number to Sara Saunders?" I looked around. "Yes ma'am. The room number is 417, on the 4th floor." The woman pointed to the elevator. "Thank you." I jogged to the elevator. "You're very welcome." The woman said.
I got into the elevator and went up to the 4th floor. I walked up to the 4th floor front desk, "How may I help you?" The man asked. "Can you direct me to room number 417?" I asked. The man pointed down the hall.
I walked to the room and opened the door. "Sara!" I said in relief. "Emily!" Said Sara. I walked up to Sara and got stopped in my tracks. "Who are you?" Said Sara's parents. "This is Emily, my girlfriend." Said Sara smiling at her parents. "Hello Mr. And Mrs. Saunders." I said as I shook Sara's parents hands. "Hello Emily. What a beautiful name. Sara has told us a lot about you." Said Sara's mom as I shook her hand. "I hope good things" I said as I laughed a little bit. "Of course." Said Sara's mom.
I walked over to Sara and smiled. I kissed her on the cheek. "Hey beautiful! Are you okay?" I asked Sara.
"Yeah. Even better now that you are here." Said Sara. "How long will she be here again?" I asked Sara's parents as i turned around. "The doctor said until tomorrow afternoon." Said Sara's dad. I turned back around and faced Sara, "How long will you be in a cast?" I asked. "The doc said for about 3 weeks." Said Sara as she smiled. "I have to go, I have a few classes to teach but I promise I'll be back right after school." I whispered to Sara, giving a pouty face to her.
Her parents weren’t in the room but I still thought I had to whisper. "Okay beautiful. Have fun teaching babe! Love you." Said Sara. I put my finger under her chin and gave Sara a gentle kiss. "Love you too." I said as I walked away from Sara putting my hand on the door handle.
I got back to school and finished the day off. I grabbed my phone to text Sara.
"Hey! Do you think it's fine if I spend the night at the hospital with you? I want to make sure you are okay." I texted.
"Emily. I only broke my hand...that’s all. And yes you can spend the night."
"I just want to make sure you are okay. Ill be there in about 1 hour." I texted.
"Okay, see you when you get here. Love you!" Sara texted.
"Okay. Love you too! Cripple." I texted.
I got in my car and sat there for a second listening to music, Melanie Martinez.
My phone buzzed,
"I want to get back together."
It was my ex, Jade.
"No I'm already with someone. Stop texting me." I texted Jade getting annoyed.
"Come on... lets not tell her. You know you want to." Texted Jade.
I tossed my phone onto the passenger seat and drove to the hospital.
Ugh why does she always try to mess with my brain. I’m in love with Sara. And only Sara. I thought.
I stopped at a stop light and my phone buzzed, I rolled my eyes and reached over to the passenger seat and opened my phone.
She f*****g texted me a nude. I thought.
I gasped and wanted to yell at her.
God i f*****g hate her! I mentally yelled.
I drove over to the hospital and it was already 10 o'clock. Sara was already asleep so I kissed Sara goodnight and I was out like a light.
