I completely blanked. My brain couldn't possibly register what was unraveling before my very eyes.
I don’t want to loose Sara.
Is all I could think. I watched in disbelief as Emily tried to coax her mom out the door. Just then, the principal walked through the doorway, "Ms. Davis, one of the students parents called to ask about why their kid was counted absent." He said as he walked over to me and handed me a paper with the parents number on it.
My hand involuntarily stuck out to grab the paper. By this point, Sara's mom was completely dumbfounded. "Ms. Davis?!" Sara's mom yelled. "Excuse me sir, I think you have the wrong person.
