Chapter Forty The following day, Taz went on a scouting expedition. When she returned to her apartment she packed an army issue knapsack. Taz tucked three blankets into the bottom and added bottled water, her Ziess field glasses, a pair of tight-fitting pig skin gloves and her shooter’s glasses. Satisfied, she set the knapsack by the door and moved her chair to a spot alongside the kitchen counter. Balancing herself, Taz reached up into the rafters and pulled down the heavy case.
