After lunch the two girls were strolling around the school

Olivia: btw.

Jane: mmh?

Olivia: does Jace-

Jane: no Olivia. don't

Olivia: I'm just curious. Does he have friends?

Jane: ride or die with Brandy.

Olivia: ooooh. I was just curious

After school the two parted ways each one going to their own homes. Olivia got home. It was dead silent

Olivia: mom?? mom I'm home

looks around the house and goes to her parents room finding her mom asleep on the bed

Olivia: mom? walks towards the bed. Her mom was sound asleep

She exhaled lightly and slowly walked towards the bed sitting on the edge of the bed. she brushed a stray strand on her mother's face gently exposing a wound which made her eyes well up.

She wiped a stray tear a pressed a soft kiss on her mother's cheek with a crooked smile and and stands up leaving the room gently closing the door gently and leans on the door.

Olivia: i just wish that monster never came into our lives.

??: what are you doing here?

Olivia: flinches standing upright seeing a middle aged man dressed in a nevy blue suit M-Mr.Xin.

Mr.Xin: what are you doing here. Don't you have any school work? slacking off?

Olivia: no sir

Mr.Xin: i told you to drop the "sir" I'm your father!!

Olivia: flinches her head lowered with a nod

Mr.Xin: how's your first day?

Olivia: good

Mr.Xin: good to hear. Friends?

Olivia: only Jane

Mr.Xin: stick to that. I don't want you near trouble makers and tarnishing my name. Got it?

Olivia: nods

Mr.Xin: tonight I'm holding an event. Many nobles will be present. Since your useless mother is in no place to be by my side you'll take that part. Dress like my daughter. Elegantly. Am I clear?

Olivia: yes sir

Mr.Xin: get lost

Olivia: quickly runs off to her room

That night Olivia dressed in a white dress decorated with shiny crystals. The maids helped her prepare herself

Servant 1: ma'am should I--

Olivia: don't use any makeup. I don't want any. Just a lip gloss will be enough

no lie Olivia was a natural beauty and didn't any exaggeration to prove it

Her hair was held neatly in a neat ponytail and face cupping strands. She completed her look with silver heels and a furry white cropped coat

Olivia:exhales lightly and leaves the room heading downstairs.

The guests were still arriving. She spotted Mr.Xin and walked towards him standing beside him

Mr.Xin: notices her perfect. Don't say a word. You're here on my behalf. Remember that

Olivia: nods lightly

Through out the whole night Mr Xin interacted with people making Olivia take drinks on his behalf claiming he didn't want to make business losses by making deals with the wrong person. Olivia had no say and just followed whatever he told her

A man, dressed in a three piece beige suit, white hair and a perfect physique approached Mr.Xin and Olivia by his side

Mr.Xin: forces a smile Mr.Liu

Mr.Liu: stretches his hand and Mr.Xin shakes it reluctantly

Mr.Liu: smirks us
