Zone in and Zone out

Jason arrive at his company earlier that usually and with a much happier face. He greet everyone with a big smile and went into the elevator. When he arrive on his floor he was greeted by his assistant.

"Good morning sir" Mr Kim said with a smile "you look rather cheerful this morning sir"

"Morning, am I not always cheerful Mr Kim" he said while smiling.

"Yes boss you are always happy" (but the fact that you made the effort to look that good says a lot) Mr Kim said to himself.

They entered his office and Jason took his seat and start working.

"Here are the papers you requested yesterday" his assistant said "You have a meeting at 1 pm with the marketing department and the Director of Blue Moon, Mr Jones want to know if you are free this afternoon for lunch"

"Send an apology for me and ask him to reschedule I won't be able to meet him" Jason said in a stern voice.

(Well you could have fool me it clearly says your free here) Mr Kim said in his mind.

"OK sir if there is nothing else I'll go get your coffee now"

He was about to walk out the door when Jason stop him.

"Mr Kim what time did you say the meeting was with the marketing department"

"At 1 pm sir" He said

( that's too late, my baby will be waiting for me and I also wants to stop by Daniels office I guess I have to start the meeting earlier…) He was in deep thoughts and didn't hear his assistant calling him.

"Sir, Sir" he tilt his head and look at his smiling boss (I wonder what could be so funny) he said to himself "Mr Blake"

Jason looked at his assistant and pretend like nothing just happen "inform the marketing team that the meeting will start a hour earlier than expected"

"Yes sir anything else"

"Don't bother with the coffee, that's all you may go" Mr Kim made a slight bow and left the office.

Jason took out a small red heart shaped box with a expensive diamond ring in it from his desk draw and looked at it, once again he was lost in thoughts. The rest of the time was spend on doing paper work and him drifting in and out of thoughts.

Time passed by very quickly and now it's time for the meeting. Jason made is way to the conference room with Mr Kim following behind him, he enter the room and everyone stand up.

"Good afternoon everyone, am sorry about the late announcement that the meeting would start earlier than you expected I know this went into your lunch time so after this Mr Kim will take you all out for lunch my treat" he said with a kind voice.

"Good afternoon sir and thank you" they all said in unison

Jason made a gesture for them to be seated and they all sit.The presenter took the floor and the meeting commence at a little pass 12.

After 10 mins into the meeting Jason is finding it hard to focus on what the presenter is saying, he keep thinking how things will work out and what reaction will Lev have.

"What is wrong with you Jase, pull yourself together this is no way for a grown man to be acting" he tells himself, but instead of calming down he finds a lot of questions popping up in his head. Everyone was more focus on him instead of the presenter because of the way he keeps signing, but no one dear to say anything.

After a hour and a half:

"I have come to the end of the presentation thank you for listening...."

Everyone was silent for five minutes no one said anything out loud they just whispered to themselves.

Jason came to the realization that the presentation was finish and everyone was waiting for is feedback.... (what in the world should I say, I wasn't even listening)

"The...." Jason look to his assistant for help

"Sir will take a look over the report and make his final decision" Mr Kim said reassuringly (you owe me big).

Jason stood up and said "that's it for today's meeting your dismissed, have a wonderful lunch everyone"

He left the conference room and head back to his office with his assistant behind him.

"Sir is there anything you would like me to do" he said with concern

"No you should go ahead and enjoy lunch, remember to put it on the companies bill" he said while straightening up his desk and taking out the ring "ohhh and by the way thanks for the help"

(uh-ha I knew it, that's why you were on edge this whole time) he said shouting in his head "no problem sir am just doing my job"

"OK Mr Kim have a nice lunch and do enjoy the rest of your day"

"thank you and the same to you sir, I'll take my leave" Mr Kim left and close the door.

Jason finish straightening up and grab what he need and left the office.....
