I immediately stand up and show Meriam an apologizing smile. She look up at me when she sees urgency on my face, shock for my sudden action.
"What's wrong?" She asked, a bit worried.
I grab my bag from my right side first. "I forgot to remember that I was asked to go to the convenience store where I worked. They called for me yesterday." I excused.
"Uh," Meriam really seems taken aback, scanning things on the table. "Why so sudden?" she asked.
I look outside once more and the man's kinda speaking with someone inside the car. He is standing outside the window, bending a little to talk with I do not know who. But if my guess is right, I really should get going right now.
"I am so sorry, Meriam. I just need to." I said one more time.
