Chapter Forty-four

I lightly smiled at the bus driver when he greeted me as I went inside. I then bow my head a little as a sign of respect before rummaging the bus, hoping that there is still a vacant seat near the window where I can have a full access to watch everything outside. My lips formed a thin line when I expected too much. There aren't any available seats left near the window so I chose to stay next to a woman whom I thought to be on her late twenties. I grab my bag in front as I sat down then cleared my throat when my phone vibrated right after I took the seat. I fetch for it inside my bag, expecting a call from Jeanette but it's just a mere single message from her. Jeanette: I'm waiting...
