Alice’s POV
“He’s engaged?” Gulat na tanong ni Scott sa kanya. She quickly nodded her response.
“I mean, not that it’s the right thing but… don’t you have the upper hand in this situation? You’re pregnant with his child.” Sabi nito sa kanya.
As expected, Scott also had that idea that she has the upper hand dahil siya ang nabuntis, and that’s what she thought too, but… she knew better. Kaagad siyang umiling. Mas lalo namang kumunot ang noo nito.
“The thing is… she’s also pregnant… so…” she smiled. Scott’s expression changed from being shocked to being sad. It’s obvious that he feels empathetic towards her, his facial expression gives it off.
She smiled at him and sighed, “It’s alright.” She said, assuring him. Napabuntong-hininga rin ito.
“You don’t have to pity me, Scott—”
