Chapter 2: Who-the-f*ck?

Well, this speed things up a little. I jumped down and rolled on my back then immediately getting up from the floor firmly holding a knife behind my back. Holy s**t.

My eyes darted across the room staring at this god-like guy, well, I’ll be damned, two s*x-god is standing in front of me. Of course, other one is Ben. The guy stared back at me with wide eyes, scanning me up and down then smirking right at me. What the heck? Is he eye-f*****g me? I strided across the room tempting to s***h his pretty face but Ben got to him first smacking his back head. Good, that would teach him a lesson or two.

He stared at Ben growling and wanting to kill him. I gaped my mouth at him with raised eyebrows in confusion, what the actual hell is that growling all about? Is he some kind of an animal? That’s some feral s**t. But, I ignored it pretending I didn’t hear that growling or whatever.

I pulled myself a chair, then sat down staring at Ben, “Well Benny, care to explain?” I glared at him and the guy seating with his legs crossed,

“Vee, I was actually going to tell you, I can hear you coming down the stairs you know? but then you suddenly jumped down ready to kill at first sight”, He sighed while taking the knife off my hands putting it back inside the bag I was carrying with me, then taking out some papers with off-looking letters and numbers from the outside pocket of the bag. I stared at him with a what’s-this-s**t look, but he decides to ignore me resuming his talk with the guy who doesn’t care to introduce himself at all. As they talked for about an hour, Me, seating there like I’m one with the wall. Does anyone of them really don’t mind to tell me what’s going on? I’m beginning to run out of patience. Without giving much thought, I snatched right away the paper out of Ben’s hands then bringing out my lucky lighter tempting to burn it down to ashes if they don’t start to explaining what the f*ck are they talking about. I’m not a kid anymore, I’m a f*****g 19 years old, I can decide or do what I want for all they care.

I stared down at them and smiling at the thought of their faces when I set this paper in fire. A little rebellious are we now Avery.

“Well? I’m waiting, and just so you know I hate waiting”, I sternly said to them,

“Vee, sit back down, and we’ll talk it out later when we finalize everything”, he said while standing up heading towards me, I backed up each steps he’s taking while firmly holding up the paper with my lighter on hand. He smirked at me thinking I would never do that, well, you thought wrong, I can do what I want and I don’t need to listen to you commanding what I should do for once in my life. I inched the lighter closer to the paper, then in a flash, the guy who was seating few meters from where I’m at was right in front of me, stealing both the paper and the lighter that’s holding, what in the hell was that? First growling then suddenly a super fast reflexes?

“He..!” I was about to shout, when he put his fingers across my lips to close it, he’s getting on my

nerves alright,

“Hey now, don’t get your butt fired up”, He laughed at me, Oh. He thinks this is funny? I swear, someone will die today.

“What?” I said annoyingly. This guy, even if he has a pretty face, he’s still just a mystery guy who

barged in then have a friendly chat with Ben,

“Why, does kitty wants to scratch my face?, He retorted. Again, teasing me with his marvelous grin while walking back to the couch, seating with Ben then back again with their interrupted business talk like nothing happened. Why can they just tell me?! I was starting to get really pissed. I’m not a baby, a kid, or a teenager anymore. I’m a grown ass woman next month, for goodness sake.

“Well, newsflash asshole this kitty will s***h your throat then drink your blood like milk”, I scoffed at him, then he’s just laughing at my remark, oh god, I’m really going to kill this guy if get a chance,

“HAHAHA, Benjamin, this kid of yours got silly jokes I tell ya,” He tossed his whole body back against the couch laughing at what I said. My blood was boiling mad at this guy. I will tear those damn throat of his if he don’t stop teasing me and laughing at me. As if Ben was sensing my anger rising, he smacked the guy’s head again making him stop laughing,

“Stop it Dave, She’s just a kid, and that’s all you need to know, and I know you took a liking to her, teasing her like that, and so you know, she’s way out of your league”, Ben said while scanning through the ‘ancient paper’ he’s holding.

“Yeah, yeah, I know, off limits”, He said while putting his fingers at his heart crossing on it. Ben patted his back continuing their talk, oh now back to ignoring me again, how many times do I have to get their attention and tell me what are they talking about?! Ugh, I rolled my eyes staring at them still continuing their talk,

“Well? Are you still going to ignore me?! Can anyone tell me what the hell are you two talking about, cause’ just so you know if none of you two start explaining, I will kill both of you, starting with this guy!”, I huffed pointing at the man seating with Ben,

“Well darling it’s the same for us too, don’t you think?”, I spurned around the room startled at the voice who answered me, and I found my eyes staring at this beautiful creature standing at the door, she looks like a fairy who came out straight out of a book, her ears are pointed, her skin is shining, wow, I never encountered a strange being in my life, and for a second, I think I saw wings twinkling under the rays of the sunlight.
