Evie’s POV As I look to him for the guidance of what this afternoon entails he goes to speak but shuts his mouth quickly before a sound leaves his lips. The look of uncertainty written on his face. I gaze at his facial expression, studying the frown line that seems to appear every now and then. Then he speaks slowly as nervous of my reaction “Evie, I know we spoke about assigning you to a senior editor as all the available junior editors have interns assigned to them.” I urge him to carry on. “Well, none of them are available either. I emailed HR earlier to discuss this and they replied with saying that under the current workload no senior editors could dedicate their time mentoring you.
