EVIE’S POV Tuesday morning feels different. Lighter somehow. Maybe it’s because I actually slept. Maybe it’s because I’d spent most of last night writing for the first time in over a year. Maybe it’s because, for once, I’m excited to go to work. Probably all three. I stand in front of my wardrobe for longer than necessary. Not because I don’t know what to wear. Because I do. The shopping trip with Bailey and Kayleigh had apparently unlocked something inside me. Confidence. Tentative and fragile, but confidence all the same.
