EVIE’S POV I sit at my desk with my laptop open, my brain buzzing. Not in the usual way either. Usually, after work, I feel drained, mentally wrung out from trying to absorb everything Wolfe Publishing has thrown at me that day. Tonight is different. My head is alive with ideas. The moment I step into my flat, I kick off my heels, drop my bag onto the sofa and open my laptop before I’ve even changed out of my work clothes.
