PROLOGUE

11:55 p.m.
Melissa Gorman, a middle-aged store owner in town was finishing her routine night hour shift when all of the sudden she was attacked and brutally strangled in her store. She struggled against her attacker, gasping and thrashing, but to no avail.
When she was dead, her attacker made sure to cover up his presence at the crime scene by cleaning and clearing anything that could trace the crime back to him. He then carried the body of his victim into the kitchen where he used cutlery to dismantle his victim piece by piece. Afterwards, he disposed of the body in a garbage bag which he dragged through the back into a waiting Ford Explorer and he sped off into the dark night sky.
The next morning, James Sawyer, a BPD officer was on a routine early morning patrol when he was called to attend to a 911 call within the area which he responded to in no time. On arrival at the scene he was met by a concerned farmer who explained to him that he was smelling a foul smell coming from his barn which he decided to investigate and was met by the decomposing body of a middle-aged woman in a garbage bag.
