Surprised by the green monster!

Tristyn looked around the huge place he had to himself, atleast the Priestess had the decency to let him live in the house. He knew she was immortal and might be enjoying seeing him pain. She had twisted the curse somehow that after being invisible, he was now visible to a real tough girl. What was wrong with her? Why didn’t she falter when he gazes into her eyes or be dazzled with his smile? This agitated him to the core and he let out a low scream of frustration. She didn’t shy away or blush around him, she never even did that batting eye lashes and playing with her hair thing. Earlier he would never have talked with a girl of her type but with her being the only option, he had to talk to her. And with passing time he realised, he enjoyed their little banters and talks. He even missed her a bit. Then her eyes and hair were just another added bonus, they gorgeous, beautiful , more than any other he had seen in his large life span. Firs the felt completely hopeless but now as he had seen her with a ghost of a smile, he felt that they could be atleast friends. Could he be just friends with her? Well, he could have had there been another beauties roaming around. But he had to be since she was not the kind of person to more than friends. The girl had trust issues, she didn’t open up to anyone. So Tristyn decided on something else, if he could not make her fall in love easily, he would make her open up to him, ease up a little bit. He knew she had a bad childhood and he had to help her enough so that she could start trusting him. He chuckled to himself when he remembered how she had cared enough to know about him and his dark secret while trying to miserably flirt. And even though she had no idea but it was working well with all her fumbling. Had he not been a playboy himself, he might have been trapped. Tristyn, What are you thinking? She is so not your type. After all this while get yourself someone of high standard, someone who everyone craves and you take away! “She has you necklace and I am okay with it, are you?” He talked to his sister in a family painting he carried with him. “It looks really beautiful on her.” He said as if defending his actions to let her have that necklace. “Tristyn you are losing it now, after holding on for all this while!” He chuckled at himself. But trust will come later, first he had a bet to win! **** “No definitely Deadpool!” Iorwen argued hotly. “Black Panther!” Lucas added. “Captain America all the way!” Rachel swooned. “Why are we leaving a damn sexy Black widow?” Oswald said. While Laurel just looked bored with all super hero talk. “Is it okay to like Loki?” Kai joined in. Iorwen had to grin at that. Iron Man was the common favourite while they discussed their second favourite. Loki had been her second choice had she not see Deadpool with his witty dialogues! “Why leave DC out ,I am Dark Knight fan?” Tristyn added indignantly. Iorwen groaned as she heard the voice next to her, and the owner only visible to her. She so wanted to reply that even she was a batman fan. “What about Batman guys?” She said almost trying to reply. From her peripheral vision she noticed a smile on his face. This was one weird ghost, he knew about superheroes? “That is a complete different story, are we walking in DC now?” Lucas said with enthusiasm. But the bell rang and they all whined in unison. “So how are you in Math Iorwen?” Kai asked walking closely with her. Tristyn glared at the guy and Iorwen noticed. She raised a finger and with tip of it poked his shoulder, “Distance Arden!” She just didn’t want Tristyn to ruin her math class by asking annoying questions about Kai. Kai just laughed and stepped away a little. “This guy is asking for death.” Tristyn angry voice whispered in her ear even though no can hear him. Her heart jumped a bit with his warm breath on her ears. Obviously she didn’t respond “I am okay I guess, I don’t hate it till I can solve questions.” “I am math failure, help me out with it?” He asked genuinely looking troubled. Iorwen felt conflicted for the first time, ever! She knew in her head she should have no, thank you but for some damn reason the word that came out of her mouth was, Sure! Tristyn was surprised and somewhere deep down hurt. Kai smiled sweetly in return. He had no idea his wife was so powerful that even he can’t see the boy with invisibility curse! But he could still feel his presence. Making Iorwen say yes, even with use of a spell was satisfying. And as they say everything is fair in love and war. “Why did you agree to his stupid excuse, he doesn’t want help in math, he is trying to get close to you? Are you dumb?” He said angrily. This annoyed Iorwen more, how could he call her dumb? She is not going to fall for Kai just because they study math together and so what if she agreed to do it, she wanted to help the new guy! And felt slightly good not being ignored by a handsome guy. Atleast he was not invisible like Tristyn. “How about we meet at library whenever you need help?” She offered just to comeback at Tristyn. “Senorita! What are you trying to do?” He said with light panic in his tone. “That would be awesome! Help me catch up with it, how about after school?” Kai sounded jubilant about it. “Sounds good to me.” She said feeling uncomfortable about whole thing. Why did she ever say yes!? They entered the class, Lucas was the only other person from the group with Advanced Math. But she was surprised when Kai entered with her. “I thought you hated math?” “I am a hard worker and can score fine.” Iorwen felt dumb now, he was hitting on her. So what is wrong in that? A good looking guy was trying to flirt with her and who is not invisible, that’s good.. no, no that’s great! But why am I feeling uneasy about this? It was Tristyn’ fault she was feeling so weird about this. As she sat down on her usual place near window, Kai joined him. “Kai, I like sitting alone.” She said rather bluntly. “Oh, fine.” He said seemingly hurt by her words. But she was fine with it, it was either sitting with Rachel or alone. She hated people observing her that closely. It bugged her. And though she for some reason said yes to Kai for study together thing she did not want to make another mistake again. Seconds later Mr.Invisible came and sat down next to her. And she was kind of relieved to find out he was smirking. “I can totally see how he might be bad at Math.” Came his sarcastic comment. It came as a surprise to both of them how she didn’t shoved him away. It was like she was okay with an invisible gorgeous boy on her seat. “But I don’t understand how a flirt like you can’t get the fact that he was hitting on me.” She whispered her retort. “Oh, Senorita I can tell by the looks on guys face if he is into you.” “So, whats the verdict for this one?” “He fancies you.” His tone was flat. “Fancies? Who says that now? And no I don’t think you are right, he can’t possibly leave all the pretty faces in school and fancy me.” “Like you could leave all the visible male population around you and fancy me.” “Atleast his ego is smaller than yours.” “I have a reason to have huge ego, Senorita!” He said gesturing towards his stunning self. “Kai is not low on looks department.” She interjected. “But you know he is nowhere near me.” Iorwen had to agree to this but she didn’t say out loud. “He is not a pervert!” “So you do agree he is not as good looking as me? Excellent taste Senorita! But all male population is perverted, some more than the others” “Go away Invisible, people might think whispering to myself is my thing nowadays.” She said lightly. “So what? You can just kick their ass.” Iorwen chuckled at this, he was starting to understand her. He knew that what people say didn’t bother her and she can stand up for herself just fine. Tristyn raised a single brow when she chuckled. He was surprised how she was happy at his genuine response, only her chuckle made him happy. This girl was hard work, flippant and smart-ass but when she smiled Tristyn could feel she was worth it! Few around her, including Kai looked when she smiled to herself and tried to compose herself by pursing her lips hiding her smile. “Stay away from this guy Senorita, you know I am your soul mate.” He wanted to say it as a joke but it came out with a tone of warning. “Someone is carrying a green monster on their back.” She said in a sing song voice. Tristyn realised what was the depressing , soul eating feeling he was having until now; he was jealous! Never in his life he had been jealous, there was no need... And now when had felt the emotion, he came to a conclusion. It was not pleasant and he had to get rid of it!
